A monthly gathering for trans artists to exchange knowledge, share mutual support and work together on challenges particular to the trans performing artist community.
Led by Katherine Goforth, Teiya Kasahara, May Chook, and in collaboration with ChamberQUEER and AmplifiedOpera, these meetings will be a space for trans artists to find solutions to transphobia and trans exclusion, with a focus on issues relevant to careers in the performing arts. Topics will include self-producing, navigating casting practices and career trajectory. Meetings will have both structured and unstructured time. Participants will have the opportunity to share their personal experiences and needs with the group.
